Lamborghini Huracan convertible
After designing a top-of-the-line, mind-blowing supercar, the next step would obviously to turn it into a convertible. That’s exactly what the famous Lamborghini brand is doing with its new Lamborghini Huracan Performante model. The automaker was recently caught testing out roadster versions of the top-performing Huracan model earlier this month.
From what can be seen from the spy shots of this potential model, the overall styling of the new Huracan Performante drop top appears to be the same as its standard model, with its front bumper and rear wings appearing to be the same shape and functionality.
That being said, there are some distinct differences with the new model’s engine cover. Like the regular Performante model, it loses its glass engine cover in favor of an opaque cover and hard tonneau for the top. The engine cover features larger vents at the base of the wing’s pedestals and appear to have large scoops at the other end.

This may seem like a strange move for Lamborghini to make, as it made several strides to lighten the Huracan Performante and improve its performance, but it’s not exactly surprising. While adding a convertible top will reduce its performance a bit, you can’t deny that driving around in the powerful and fast Huracan with its top down would be an exhilarating experience. So in that case, we can definitely see where the brand’s coming from.
