Do Lamborghini supercars require special tires?
Every Lamborghini model is different. These are demanding cars. They demand the attention of the driver, they demand respect out on the street and at the track, and they demand superior tires. Do Lamborghini supercars require special tires? Absolutely. We will get into what tires Lamborghini models use, what makes them different, and more.
What type of tires do Lamborghini models use?
The vast majority of new Lamborghini models enjoy Pirelli P Zero tires. This includes the Urus, Huracan EVO, and Aventador S. These tires feature an s-shape tread for superior control during braking, three wide grooves for water displacement during wet driving, and three solid central ribs designed for high speed.
The Lamborghini Sián and the Aventador SVJ both have special tire needs. As such, they get Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Pirelli only offers these tires with a few select brands including McLaren and Pagani. They are comprised of a custom compound built for motorsports, have an inner tread built for grip and traction at high speed, and an outer tread designed for superior cornering.
Can you use another brand on Lamborghini?
Though Pirelli is certainly the brand that Lamborghini recommends, there are other brands that you can utilize. However, always be sure that you are getting tires designed to handle the stresses that come along with a supercar.
You will want to be especially careful selecting the right tire if you intend to track the car.

Why is it important to have the right tire on a supercar?
Tires undergo an extreme amount of stress, and they still have to grab the road, flex, and hold together through immense spinning force. This is why you shouldn’t just slap any tire on your Lamborghini or supercar. You need to have tires that can withstand the stress.
It’s also worth noting that the tires you get with a new Lamborghini and the tires most people utilize are summer tires. Of course, that’s fine if you are only ever taking your Lamborghini on Sunday drives in Florida, but if you intend to drive it in the cold, even if snow isn’t a concern, you should get another set of tires. Summer tires will get very stiff in the cold and underperform.
