Features of the new Urus paint facility
This new paint facility in Sant’Agata Bolognese isn’t a plan, but an already realized facility with over 100 employees already at work and plans for up to 200 employees working in the near future. More personalization options isn’t the only end goal for this new facility either.
The new Urus paint facility is the only facility like it in the world. It uses an advanced artificial intelligence system that applies directly to the paint process. This AI streamlines the process from the warehouse to the paint line itself.
In a normal automotive paint facility, paint waste is a big deal. Standard painting systems typically only apply 40% of the sprayed paint to the vehicle itself. The rest is lost to the air and ventilation systems. The innovative process in place at this new paint facility improves upon the standard systems greatly and applies up to 80% of the sprayed paint directly to the bodywork.
