The Aventador is getting a new model to its lineup, and it promises to deliver its own unique set of surprises. Let’s get down to the heart of the issue and discover what the Lamborghini Aventador S actually is.
What’s the difference between a Lamborghini Spyder and a Roadster
Though much of the design language from the standard Aventador is still present in the Aventador S, a lot has changed. Everything from the nose of the car to the back-end has been re-sculpted and redesigned to make the Aventador even more of a call back to the Lamborghini Countach.
The side-pod air-ducts have had their skirts removed leaving them more exposed, the rear exhaust has been redesigned creating an aggressive look that is similar to the rocket nozzles on a spaceship, and that’s just a few of the changes that were made. One thing is for certain, the Aventador S is still 100% Lamborghini and 100% Aventador.
Aventador S engine specifications
According to a Lamborghini press release, the Aventador S will be utilizing a naturally aspirated V12 monster that is capable of outputting 740 bhp. This gives the Aventador S a 0-100 kmh time of 2.9 seconds (that’s 0 to about 62 mph) and a top speed of over 217 mph.
The Aventador S takes advantage of a new four-wheel steering system to deliver an unprecedented level of control. On top of that, the driver can now adjust more suspension and electronic features than ever before providing a dynamic and customizable driving experience.
When will the rear wheel drive Lamborghini Huracan be available?
As you can see, the Aventador S doesn’t have the large rear wing of the Aventador SV, but it still has plenty going on to keep your tires glued to the road. By utilizing the aerodynamic designs in the bodywork and even underneath the car, the Aventador S has been able to achieve improved downforce over the standard Aventador.
As of yet, Lamborghini hasn’t announced an expected availability date for the latest Aventador model. However, dealerships including Lamborghini Palm Beach are already taking orders for this impressive new model. Learn more about ordering an Aventador S here!
