There is no supercar as revolutionary as the Lamborghini Aventador. Since its launch back in 2011, each new variant of the Aventador has made headlines consistently ever since. With crisp and sharp body lines complemented by a monstrous engine, the Aventador is forced to be reckoned with. But all good things come to an end and Lamborghini announced that the production of all Lamborghini Aventadors will be stopped by the end of 2021. Hence, to give it a fitting farewell, Lamborghini launched the LP 780-4 Ultimae special edition for the 2021 model year. That said, what powers the 2021 Lamborghini Aventador LP780-4 Ultimae? In this article, we are going to look at its powertrain and performance stats.
The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae is limited to 350 units and is essentially the most powerful Aventador ever made. The vehicle sports a tweaked exterior design to make it stand out from its siblings. This also carries into the interior which is clad with Alcantara® upholstery and a carbon-fiber plaque displaying the number of units of the LP780-4 Ultimae. The 2021 Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae is powered by a 6/5-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine that produces a staggering 769 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) transmission. The power is sent to all four wheels through an Electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system with a rear mechanical self-locking differential. Since we are talking about the engine, we might as well talk about some of the other components that go into making this monster. The LP 780-4 Ultimae comes with Carbon-ceramic brakes, and Pushrod magnetorheologic active front and rear suspension, to name some of them.
With all that power under the hood, it comes as no doubt that the vehicle can cross the 60 MPH mark from a standstill in just 2.8 seconds. This much acceleration contributes to a high speed of 221 MPH. The Aventador has been known to offer cut-throat performance along with breathtaking handling capabilities. Not to forget the ingenuity that has gone into making the LP 780-4 Ultimae the fastest in the pack.
