Looking up mpg numbers for supercars and even Super Sport Utility Vehicles or SSUVs like the Lamborghini Urus is a fun curiosity. If you are thinking about buying a Urus, then chances are fuel economy numbers don’t mean a lot to you, but it’s still something that’s interesting to be aware of. Plus, you want to know how far you can drive on a tank of gas. For those reasons, we will provide a full rundown of the Lamborghini Urus fuel economy including mpg numbers, range, and more.
The EPA has just come out with the first official numbers for the Lamborghini Urus. The Urus has a 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 650 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque. With that in mind, it’s pretty impressive that the Urus managed to earn 17-highway mpg and 12-city mpg. The EPA also generates a combined rating which is comprised of 45% of the highway efficiency and 55% of the city efficiency. The Urus earned a 14-combined mpg.
The Urus is a premium vehicle, so it should come as no surprise that it relies on premium gas to provide the high horsepower and torque that its twin-turbo V8 can boast of. Premium fuel has a higher octane rating which allows it to withstand higher compression and thus produce more power.
Note however, that an engine has to be specially tuned for premium fuel. This means that if your car requires premium, like the Urus, then that’s what you should use. In contrast, if your vehicle requires regular fuel, you are likely not doing your vehicle or its power any favors by filling up with premium gas.

Before we can fully explore range, we have to look at the fuel tank in the Urus. The standard capacity of the Urus is 19.81 gallons, but it also has a reserve tank that gives access to a total of 22.45 gallons. For the sake of determining maximum range, we will only be looking at the latter value.
As you saw above, there are three fuel economy numbers, so let’s take a look at the range under all three scenarios. With highway only driving, the Urus would have a range of 381 miles and with city only driving the Urus would have a range of 269 miles. Finally, with the combined efficiency number, the Urus would have a range of 314 miles.
