The 2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO is an off-shoot model of the Huracan sports car and launched this year. It is a special edition and is completely different from the other Huracan variants. The Huracan STO sports a tall rear wing with a roof snorkel for engine cooling. A shark fin aerodynamic device connects the roof snorkel with the rear wing. Also, three new drive modes and a racing harness for the bucket seats have been added.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO Engine Specs

The 2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO is powered by a 5.2-liter V-10 engine with MPI (Multi-Point Injection) and Direct Stratified Injection (DSI) that produces a staggering 640 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and the power is directed to the rear wheels (RWD). All this power results in staggering performance numbers – a three-second 0 – 62 MPH time and a 0 – 124 MPH time of nine seconds. The Huracan STO tops out at an aero limited 192 MPH.

A sports car of this magnitude requires some serious performance-oriented components, and the Lamborghini Huracan is clad with all the goodies. For some of the elements, “sandwich” technology used by the aerospace industry has been, so as to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle. The windshield of the Huracan STO is 30% lighter than the ones used in the other models. Additionally, the alloy wheels of the Huracan STO are made out of magnesium. With all these components coming into play, the overall weight of the vehicle is 94 pounds lesser than the Huracan Performante.
